'N' is for New Year!

Bring on 2011!!! Really. A lot has happened this past year. I met Henry, married him, bought a house, went to court.. over, and over, and over again. I'm very very glad at the outcome, though. Well worth it. Annie deserves the absolute best and I would give anything to make sure she is ok.

Christmas was great, our first Christmas as a family :) Took lots of cute pictures of Annie and everyone. I've been trying to figure out the new camera.. Practice Practice!

My New Year's Resolution(s):

1. Wear more girly clothes. I know, kinda strange, but for how girly I am, I sure do wear some boyish clothes.. Plain Tshirts, jeans, occasionally a sweater with a useless button, but that's the extent. I LOVE frilly, lacy, CHIC clothes, but am too self conscious to wear them. I guess along with this resolution comes..
2. Not care what people think of me! I worry too much what others think, I constantly feel like people are pointing out my flaws and thinking how dumb I am. I need to brand it into my head that I have a husband who will love me no matter WHAT, and a God who loves me even more. What else matters?
3. Work out more. This is the obvious resolution of pretty much every human on this planet.. Well, in America anyway. I am still not satisfied with my body, too much flab on the arms and belly. I lost 15 lbs recently but am still in the same size pants, just barely in a lower size. How does that work? Well, we just brought up the bike to put next to the elliptical, so now I can do some light exercise when I read, too.
4. Read more. Henry and I are both doing this. We both agreed that we would much rather be 'wasting our time' on books than on the internet. I've already read 2- 450 page novels this past month so I got a head start. I don't think I've read a book since high school before this. We have a bunch of books coming from Amazon soon, can't wait! BTW, just finished the book "Redeeming Love" by Francine Rivers.. EXCELLENT book, it was almost exactly like what I'm going through right now, except I'm not a prostitute.. It's based on the book of Hosea in the Bible. Wonderful. I also read "19 Minutes" by Jodi Picoult. Great one as well. I have 5 more of her books on the way. Can't wait :) I love Amazon. Even though they are used books, $20 for 5 of them is NOT bad.. Especially when they go for about $10-$15 EACH at Barnes & Noble.

Happy New Year!
