Home Makeover: The Kitchen

Here are the counters that were here when we moved in(we added the dishwasher, too. I think we only spent 2 days in the house without one. Got it on Craigslist for $60!) The counters were awful! They were so short. The sink was so tiny we couldn't even fit a frying pan in it. So we decided to get a new sink....But...

The sink we wanted(and every other sink out there) was too big. So replacing a sink turned into a new sink, cabinets, countertop, and water filter. Sighh.. It was worth it though. I love my new sink, and I highly recommend a built in water filter. If you look at the picture above, we had a faucet one. Bulky. Now there is a seperate faucet for the 'clean' water. Yay!

(Almost) everything is done here. We even aquired a new fridge from my husband's parents. But something is still missing..

Color! I love our blue kitchen. It turned out pretty bright, I didn't really expect it to be that much. But I still think it looks pretty sharp. :) Still have a couple finishing touches to do, my mom is maknig some red curtains and I need to put knobs on the lower cabinets.
